It is said that it is a miracle that human beings survive in space. Although we are human beings who have received so many blessings, we are living through trials and tribulations in the world, big and small. And each struggles to solve the difficult equation of fate, asking, “Who am I? why live How should I live?” is repeated countless times. The new book <The Way of Life> deals with the story of humans and religions meeting each other on the way to solving the equation of fate.
There are many religions in the world. There is only one immutable truth that moves the universe, but those who interpret and follow it are divided into various categories. Even though their heads are full of question marks, they sometimes make assertions and actions with certainty. For this reason, many inter-religious wars have occurred in history, leaving traces of cruelty. The scriptures contain the core essence of that religion. However, scholars analyze that more than 70% of all religious scriptures are similar. It is clear that the conflicts between religions and religious people will decrease if we encounter various meanings of the scriptures distorted by theology and ideology. Just as each river eventually meets in the great sea, the great sages say that now religions must reconcile and acknowledge each other and meet for the will of God.
The recent spread of global infectious diseases caused by COVID-19 and the untact era are showing an unprecedented phenomenon in human history. The new book <The Way of Life> seeks the religious meaning and wisdom that penetrates time and space amid global crises such as COVID-19. No matter how advanced science and technology may be, the words of Isaac Newton, “What science has discovered in the great sea of truth are but small shells,” are still valid. If we interpret the infinitely minute or infinite and ever-changing laws of the universe, we cannot help but be conscious of or rely on the existence of the absolute and ultimate God.
There is also a great sense of despair that human abilities cannot solve today's global challenges. However, everything cannot be solved by depending on God or God. The most important and common word among the scriptures and the words of the saints in this book is 'love. Love for parents is filial piety, love for brothers is friendship, and love for friends is friendship. Faith is also the love of the source that made one's existence into the world. Only in the place where God and humans become one in love can we find clues to hope to change the uncertain world. In that sense, 'true love' that God is managing is becoming the master key to solving all global problems. Faith is a religious belief and the ultimate interpretation of one's being. With that belief as the key, the justification for being born is interpreted, the hidden meanings of the various difficulties of life are understood, and the virtues of life that must be cherished and cherished are realized.
Sometimes like a grain of sand in the desert, or like a leaf hanging from a branch of a big tree, our lives are suddenly born and live day by day. This book 'The Way of Life' aims to find the way to find the ultimate being who made me look like the world, to interpret and practice what is true life in it, and to find the way of truth that understands and encompasses not only life but also death.
