"From Moscow to Pyongyang", published this time in Cheongparang, is the story of the meeting between President Sun Myung Moon and President Gorbachev and President Kim Il-sung during the US-Soviet Cold War era. Divided into 1 to 3 parts, the various preparations in the United States that made the meeting possible, the tense execution process leading up to the meeting, and numerous behind-the-scenes stories and episodes at the meeting are described in the author's memoirs, who were close to the meeting. It can be said that it is a secret story that has hardly been known to the general public.
In the 1970s, in the United States, the hippie culture and other spiritual depravity and the socialist trend were widespread. The first half of this book tells the story of a Korean who went to the United States to awaken the spirit of the United States as a Christian nation, and founded the conservative free The Washington Times to fight against the growing communist forces. The second half also deals with the century-long meeting with Gorbachev, the inducement of the peaceful dissolution of the Soviet Empire, and the meeting with North Korean leader Kim Il-sung, who lost his support and went nuclear. At that time, the Korean Peninsula was in a state of imminent crisis due to the theory of a preemptive attack by the United States. Although there are no assumptions in history, this book describes the story of two encounters that would have changed history in the depths of history, focusing on specific facts. In addition, through the historical experience of the Cold War era, it will be possible to reflect on the current new Cold War era and find a solution.
This book is the remains of the author who passed away in 2019. The author is a promising Korean military officer and former government diplomat, and later served as president of the US <Washington Times> and Korea <Segye Ilbo> with the help of Sun Myung Moon. For this reason, he is the person who observed the historical encounter of Sun Myung Moon closest to him. He ordered, "I want readers to read and feel the wonderful story that peacefully changed the history of the Cold War, without any prejudice."

About the author
Author Park Bo-hee / Born in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do in 1930, he served as the president of the US <The Washington Times> and the Korea <Segye Daily>. Since the 1950s, he has been supporting Sun Myung Moon's international activities and has been awarded the Hwarang Military Service Medal and the National Medal of Merit for his contribution to promoting Korea-US friendship and Korea's cultural diplomacy. 2019 Seonghwa (passed away).
